I have no idea what I just read. Maybe it was the beginning of a really great book! Maybe it was the ramblings of a tortured mind. It tried to set a mysterious plot and tease us to read on to reveal the ending. It didn't give much info and at the end we learned nothing to be quite honest. It only took a few minutes to read but I can never get those few minutes back!Product details

Anne M. Carpenter has written another grate short story, very visual and scary.
I did not expect it to end the way it did.
But I'm not giving any spoilers away.
I had no idea what to expect of this story, but it was a fast-paced clever read. I liked the way it evolved quickly and gave a surprising end. I don't give spoilers, so just go ahead and read it and enjoy it like I did.
This short story is filled with suspense from beginning to end. The husbands of 13 wives leave on a mission and their wives know they will be gone for a long time. Deciding to get together and take a few hours away from the base, how could they have expected they would never return home? What happened to them? Read the story and see if you can figure it out. I must admit that my mind is still trying and, for that, I'd have to say it's an engaging story.
The story was great, but I think she could have put a little more into it. Developed the story line a little bit more and added more character and scene descriptions.
