I was really impressed with this book. It lays out the slippery slope of commoditization--when you stop recognizing the differentiating quality of your product or service and start selling on price, rather than value. Through examples and anecdotes from Julie LaNasa's years of consulting, the book is accessible and relevant--whether you're a new startup or a well-established company. I was particularly drawn to her ideas around mindset transformation. You realize that it's not enough to simply raise prices or hire a new sales team. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that have to work together. LaNasa lays out exactly how to approach these difficulties, which almost every business will encounter at some point or another, and how to make the real changes that lead to success. I highly recommend this book to anyone in a leadership position.
Just finished Julie's book. A very thought-provoking read. I found myself taking notes and thinking about how to apply her insights, recommendations and models to our business. This is one of those books that you don't just read and put on the shelf; it calls for action and implementation. In this wonderful business book, the excellent narrative used by Julie makes us think of a situation that can be of overwhelming logic, if we want different results we must transform to obtain different results. But it is not making simple changes in the way we manage our business, it is about transforming our mindset to a growth mindset that allows us to believe in a different future, is a detailed guide to achieve increases in revenue from 20 to 50 percent.
Julie poses a clear and objective step by step guide, ranging from prioritizing customers to perform methodologies professionally developed to coach members of our Organization in order to achieve a behavior change towards the growth targets desired.
In short, a book that any entrepreneur who wants to increase their income and have a profitable and sustained growth should read.
